Antarctica is the most southern continent in the world and also the coldest in the world. It is on the South Pole. However Arctic is on the North Pole, continent mentioned above is a colder place, because it is higher above the see level than Arctic. But there is something common between them - winter and summer lasts there each for half year, which means that half of the year both of that places are set in darkness, and other half of the year there is a day time. How would you like to see nothing but the moon for six months?
However there is a lot of interesting things to see, like for example Aurora Australis also called southern lights, as well as, sun dog and diamond dust, which are very beautiful optical phenomenons.
So it would be worth to visit Antarctica for at least once in a lifetime, to see all that unique and beautiful nature creations. Although it is very cold there, the record of the coldest natural temperature ever recorded on Earth was −89.2 °C or −128.6 °F at the Russian Vostok Station on 21 July 1983.

Polar bear is a big brother of more common brown and black bears. It usually lives in colder regions. It's fur is white because there is a lot of snow, where it dwells, and it is easier to hide, so other animals it hunts can't see their opponent. And either to hide from it's enemies if there is a danger, especially when bears are not grown up.
However those white guys are not afraid of cold, it is easier for them during the summer, because in winter there is not enough food and it is more complicated to catch it.
Like other bears, polar bears eat a lot of fish, they feel free in the water and in very cold water either, they grow fat during all year and their fur is extremely warm. But they also eat other kinds of food, like meat of many types of animals available in their habitat area.
Polar bear is very dangerous to humans, especially when it gets angry and when it feels that his own or it's cubs safety is in danger.
